You may be wondering about the difference between Creative Employment Access Society and the Job Shop. The Society, CEAS, is the legal organization which enters into contracts to provide employment services to the community. The Job Shop is the name of our largest program.

Creative Employment Access Society was formed in 1986 by an ad hoc group of concerned community members who wanted to provide assistance to people in the community who were having trouble finding work, making career decisions, or keeping a job.

The philosophy of the Society is to provide service to the community in a manner that complements existing services.

The Society was incorporated under the Societies Act in 1989 and has operated since then.

CEAS began with a staff of 5, and there are now 19 full and part-time staff who are dedicated to serving our clients' needs.
